Quinn Energy was pleased to help sponsor and support the IEEE Region 1 Student Conference (StuCon) 2017, hosted by the University of Buffalo, on April 7-9th.
Quinn Energy's Principal and Founder, Adriane Wolfe, was invited to the conference banquet as an University of Buffalo (UB) alumni. While at UB Ms. Wolfe was President of the IEEE Student Chapter in 2009. The alumni who attended sat with students to act as mentors and share firsthand experiences of working in engineering.
The conference included competitions in the areas of: Ethics, Student Paper, and MicroMouse. MicroMouse is a maze solving robot that the students design and build. At the banquet the winners of the competitions were announced.
Quinn Energy would like to congratulate the students who participated in the competitions. Special congratulations to:
Binghamton University - 1st Prize Regional MicroMouse Competition
Stevens Institute of Technology - 1st Prize Student Ethics Competition
Daniel Clarke, Fairleigh Dickinson University - 1st Prize Undergraduate Student Paper Contest
Thanks to the University of Buffalo and all who contributed to helping support the event and the students.
