We are pleased to announce that Quinn Energy's Principal and Founder, Adriane Wolfe, has been elected Secretary of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Twin Tiers Chapter.
According to the SWE website: "The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, and outreach and advocacy activities."
The SWE Twin Tiers Chapter serves the Twin Tiers region and includes zip codes that begin with 148**, 149**, or 169**, along with Braford County, PA. The Chapter is involved in outreach, community service, networking, fundraising, and scholarships.
Wolfe has been a member of the Twin Tiers Chapter since 2015 and has volunteered for their Girl Scout Tech Day and Egg Drop events. In 2005, as a student Wolfe was awarded an academic scholarship from the Twin Tiers Chapter.
Wolfe says: "It is inspiring to be a part of a group of world class engineers who, in a rural region, provide outreach and scholarships to youth that would otherwise be inaccessible. Having been a recipient of one of their scholarships, I am glad to be able to serve."
